Fast Facts for End-of-Life Care
The goal of hospice and palliative care is to improve quality of life
for both patient and family while promoting dignity, comfort and self-determination.
Patients receive symptom management care wherever they reside, whether in the comfort of home or at any contracted residential or care facility.

Receiving end-of-life care does not mean that a patient is giving up on life.  Rather, a patient who elects hospice or palliative care is choosing to complement their existing medical plan with skilled and holistic nursing and comfort care that allows them to live the fullest life possible in the face of serious illness.
